Book one, Quinn, ended with a not so bad, and might I even say, expected cliffhanger. Lexi ran out on Quinn. Again. And thanks to Kimber, his freaking awesome retired military canine, a Belgian Malinois, Quinn is able to track her down – only to hear earth shattering screams.
I have to say that so far, when looking to give a review now that it’s been a few days since I’ve finished it, it’s… nothing we haven’t read before. It’s all very predictable.

This is my first J.C. Cliff novel, and I feel like it’s all thanks to Maya Banks I actually decided to give this genre another chance.
Also, if you scroll down to the book synopsis – you’ll notice the many warnings. Those alone made my decision for me. Who can resist a book that warns you against reading it? Reverse psychology, boys and girls, works every time. LOL Continue reading “Quinn by J.C. Cliff”

This series is the closest thing I’ve read to SOA in literature. There probably is other books way closer in details and drama, but trust me. Drama’s a plenty in the Chaos novels. Kristen Ashley has drama down pat.
I didn’t realize Walk Through Fire, the 4th in the series, was scheduled to release so soon to Ride Steady, but was thrilled when I spotted it on NetGalley.
Walk Through Fire is a 1-Click, so even before reading my post, go ahead and do it so in a week’s time it’ll wait for you ❤
I’ll be honest – there are aspects of this story that I hated. I felt insulted and was pissed for Millie, and at that point I didn’t even have a clue on what the whole deal between her and Logan was.
See, Logan and Millie were in love 20 years ago. Madly in love. Logan was a prospect at Chaos, Millie was his old lady, they were strong, they had plans for the future, they were incredible together. And then Millie left him. Logan didn’t stick around to find out why. I can understand that – she was pretty adamant that they’re over and he should go on without her.
