A Nanny For the Reclusive Billionaire by Regina Kyle

So… every once in a while I pick up a light romance read, the expected one, not so many twists in the plot, and relish on them. A Nanny For the Reclusive Billionaire by Regina Kyle is just this kind of read, and thank goodness Entangled had it listed as one of their arcs.

mythoughts

Mallory Worthington is a chef who’s in desperate need for a change, and so she finds herself a Nanny/Chef for Rhys Dalton, a tech billionaire who lives on a private island with his 4 year old son. Rhys’ wife died a few years prior and he’s now doing everything he can to keep his son safe.

This is your typical billionaire falling for the nanny romance. Naturally at first the MC is very much against going there with his nanny, but his kid changes his mind. But it’s written well, it flows and it’s a genuinely fun read, so I had a blast gulping it down during one leg of my flight.

This was fun, and I might just check more of Kyle’s titles.

Mallory Worthington has had enough of being treated like a fragile flower. She needs to get out of Dodge, as far and fast as possible. Somewhere no one knows about her childhood battle with cancer. A talented chef working at her family’s flagship hotel, she leaps at the first job opportunity that meets her criteria – personal chef and nanny for a reclusive and insanely hot billionaire in the Florida Keys. She doesn’t know a lot about the nanny part, but how hard can it be?

Billionaire Rhys Dalton cut himself off from the world after his wife was killed. Living on this remote island was the only way he could ensure the safety of his son. Finding someone willing to help him take care of his child, well that’s been a challenge right up until Mallory knocks on his office door. She makes him think and feel things he hasn’t in years. He’s smart, so he fires her on the spot.

But she’s not going anywhere, no matter how hard he might try to get rid of her…

Regina Kyle knew she was destined to be an author when she won a writing contest at age ten with a touching tale about a squirrel and a nut pie. By day, she writes dry legal briefs, representing the state in criminal appeals. At night, she writes steamy romance with heart and humor.

A lover of all things theatrical, Regina lives on the Connecticut coast with her husband, teenaged daughter and two melodramatic cats. When she’s not writing, she’s most likely singing, reading, cooking or watching bad reality television. She’s a member of Romance Writers of America and PAN liason for her local RWA chapter.
