Twisted Palace by Erin Watt

In this conclusion of the trilogy we finally get the very twisted version of these kids’ happily ever after.

I have read Paper Princess and Paper Prince. Now – here’s my thoughts on Twisted Palace.

Here we go…

Just finished this a day ago and I can safely say, it’s a good (albeit anticlimactic) conclusion to the series.

What we know is that Reed was taken in handcuffs and arrested for a murder and a blast from the past has unexpectedly resurfaced. Now the race to prove his innocence has begun while dealing with more rumors.

Ella is doing her best coping with shaming attempts and supporting Reed, keeping his spirits up, it’s a miracle she manages to join the cheerleading squad (led by Jordan) and help Val with her own romance. Busy busy girl.

There’s one key issue in this third installment: up until the 86% mark, it seemed like the only option to fix everything is to continue to another book, but then all of a sudden everything is solved with one little scene. I wish this was more paced, or that clues started around the last third of the book.

I enjoyed the story as a whole. I still think the story is a far fetched fiction, but for the sake of storytelling – it’s a fun read.

I’m thinking 3.5 Stars

PS – I hear a book for Easton (Reed’s little brother is in the works)

29519517These Royals will ruin you…

From mortal enemies to unexpected allies, two teenagers try to protect everything that matters most.

Ella Harper has met every challenge that life has thrown her way. She’s tough, resilient, and willing to do whatever it takes to defend the people she loves, but the challenge of a long-lost father and a boyfriend whose life is on the line might be too much for even Ella to overcome.

Reed Royal has a quick temper and even faster fists. But his tendency to meet every obstacle with violence has finally caught up with him. If he wants to save himself and the girl he loves, he’ll need to rise above his tortured past and tarnished reputation.

No one believes Ella can survive the Royals. Everyone is sure Reed will destroy them all.
They may be right.

With everything and everyone conspiring to keep them apart, Ella and Reed must find a way to beat the law, save their families, and unravel all the secrets in their Twisted Palace.

I read, review, flail and swoon.
