Tag… you’re it! The 3rd installment in the Tall, Dark and Dangerous series is
I’m willing, able and volunteering as tribute to be tagged by Tag. LOL
Ok, M. Leighton, NetGalley and the publisher were kind enough to provide an advance copy of Brave Enough in exchange for my honest thoughts.
After Jasper and Rogan’s stories, we’re finally getting Tag’s story. I’m not sure why but this one pretty different than the first two. I feel like they were darker, Jasper’s in particular, but this one is really optimistic and throughout most of the book I kept picturing the setting as Tuscany and not the Greater Atlanta Area.
Let’s start with Weatherly; a rebel in progress young socialite who’s about to be matched with an older business man, an associate of her father’s. Weatherly needs to figure out how to get out of her father’s plan, her father – who will do everything in his power to keep his empire and his money – and will threaten his daughter’s cause, a children’s charity. And so she runs away to her childhood favorite place, a winery where she used to spend her summers.
Upon arriving at Chiara, she quickly discovers Tag, the housekeeper’s son, who’s been working at the winery. Tag and Weatherly’s first meeting is nothing short of embarrassingly hilarious and sets the tone beautifully for their fun and loving romance.
Tag, realizing he has the solution, temporary as it may be, for Weatherly’s problem, finds himself in a predicament. He’s falling for her, hard, yet knows if he doesn’t reveal his motives and hidden agenda, will lose her forever. Just as expected, though, and contrary to his mother imploring him to do the right thing, he keeps his secrets. And ultimately, with the help of her father, Weatherly finds out Tag’s secret, and she learns it in the worst way possible.
Weatherly is a strong young woman. She’s determined and sees life beyond money and business connections. She will do everything in her power to marry for love and all she can to keep her children’s bellies full.
Tag’s bond with his mother is inspiring. He loves her and will do everything in his power to make sure her future is secure. His determination, though, is his downfall, and he will work very hard to prove to Weatherly he’s got what it takes to take care of her, love her, and make sure she will choose him.
Tag and Weatherly’s romance is a whirlwind of passionate attraction and growing love. Brave Enough is a compelling romance filled with hot, steamy sex.

From the author of the New York Times bestselling Bad Boys novels comes another dark, sexy story…
Is she brave enough to give her heart to a man she only thought she knew?
He was the most charismatic man I’d ever met. Strong, tough, brave. Bold as hell. Something told me Tag Barton could have anything—anyone—he wanted…and he wanted me. It didn’t matter that he was wrong for me in practically every way possible. It didn’t matter that my father would hate it.
I couldn’t resist him. Even if I’d known who he really was and what he was really capable of.
When he suggested we pretend to be engaged, I thought he was the answer to all my problems. He wasn’t. And, in his wake, he left nothing but scorched earth and me, just another casualty of my father’s war.
Can I believe him now when he tells me he loves me? Or is he nothing more than a beautiful, breathtaking lie?
