Misbehaving by Tiffany Reisz

When I hear/see/read the name Tiffany Reisz my mind goes to kink. It’s really not my fault, it’s just how I know Tiff (who is, btw, adorable, pocket size, cool and talented beyond words, unless they’re hers) – so in actuality it’s all her fault. That association I have. I hear Nora, Søren and Kingsley, and I hear Griffin and Michael, and I know something wickedly good is up ahead.

Wanted: Adventurous, open-minded man willing to try anything…

As a popular sex blogger, Beatriz gets paid to have orgasms. So being on deadline the week of her sister’s wedding isn’t as rough as it sounds. There’s just one hitch: Bea’s assignment is to write a review of a sex position manual, but she doesn’t have a plus one to play with.

The good news: Ben, the one who got away back in college, is also attending stag–and he’s as temptingly gorgeous as ever.

The bad news: Ben turned down Bea’s offer of graduation night sex five years ago.

The best news: He’s not planning on making the same mistake twice.

A red-hot retelling of Much Ado About Nothing for people who love Shakespeare but thought his plays could use a few more sex scenes.

So I know she’s working on a novel called Misbehaving, and immediately I know Nora has done something. But, NO! It’s not Nora. It’s a whole new set of characters.

I start reading, and I fell in love. Beatriz is feisty, sassy, has no shame (not that I find anything she should be ashamed in) and deep down inside, she’s a little hurt.

Ben is her never fulfilled love. He is handsome, successful, a little bit of a player, and he is still pining for Beatriz, after turning her down in college. <– *FOOL*

And then they meet again at his best friend’s wedding to her sister. And Beatriz enlists Ben to help her with a “hands-on” book report. And Ben agrees.

This is the best kind of fluff. It’s hot and smexy, it’s funny and fun, and it’s perfect for balancing YA, “Serious” Adult erotica and Fantasy/PNR books. It’s a clear the palate with a romantic and steaming hot read.

So while for the most of it I felt like I was cheating on Nora and Søren, I can’t not recommend this as it’s well written, hot (I’ve said that before, I believe) and such a fun read.

My rating: 5

* My thanks to Harlequin via NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Eleanor_heartTiffany Reisz lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her boyfriend (a reformed book reviewer) and two cats (one good, one evil). She graduated with a B.A. in English from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and is making both her parents and her professors proud by writing BDSM erotica under her real name.

When not under arrest, Tiffany enjoys Latin Dance, Latin Men, and Latin Verbs. She dropped out of a conservative southern seminary in order to pursue her dream of becoming a smut peddler. Johnny Depp’s aunt was her fourth grade teacher. Her first full-length novel THE SIREN was inspired by a desire to tie up actor Jason Isaacs (on paper). She hopes someday life will imitate art (in bed).

THE SIREN was awarded the RT Reviewer’s Choice Award for Best Erotic Romance 2012.

If she couldn’t write, she would die.

I read, review, flail and swoon.
